Whether you reside in Dubai or Antarctica, if you are willing to experience Paramotoring, surely you will need some gloves. Gloves will not only keep your hands warm but will also safeguard you from injuries at the time of paramotor launching.

What are the best paramotoring gloves?

Well, we have come up with the gloves that are sustainable in all seasons and temperatures. You can also use these gloves in paragliding and paramotoring both.

  • Warm temperature flying:

When you intend to fly high in warm temperatures, you may think of excluding the gloves. But surprisingly,  even if you fly in midsummer heatwave or summer, your hands will become cold at the time of flying.

Flying less than 10 minutes or on low height will not cause you any trouble. But as you fly high, the colder it gets. 35+ mph wind-chill is more than enough to suck the heat from your hands and thus, resulting in uneasy flying.

Usually, it is noticed that at every 1000ft climb, the temperature decreases. It should be considered that temperature may differ as per the sun, shade, inversions and towers or buildings.

As you open your propeller, you will experience feel colder; it’s because to maintain the altitude at the time of spinning of propeller, you prefer more power.

Therefore, flying in warm summers can easily disturb the temperature when flying at heights.

  • Cold temperature flying:

It is observed that pilots usually don’t prefer flying without gloves below 50°F(10°C) temperatures. But with a good set of gloves, you can achieve a remarkable flying experience.

What happens when I can’t launch my paramotor due to thick gloves?

Many pilots have faced gripping problem when launching their paramotors in thick winter gloves. This is because you cannot manage the pressure you are putting on the throttle lever, and thus you are unable to get feedback from brake lines.

It’s suggested that you ground handle and frequently practice launching in ground handling to get used to of the gloves.

When going for paramotoring, all you need to do is zip up your gloves in your harness pocket, launch without wearing gloves and climb up to the nearest and safest altitude to put them on. Doing this will protect you from damp ground, as putting the gloves on damp ground will lift you up.

Beware when planning to wear your gloves in the mid-air as the wind can catch it and loosen your grip. Ultimately this will ruin your experience.
